Guido's Hand, the blog of the Oberlin Conservatory Library, posted a link to an article by Rob Walker in the New York Times Magazine entitled, "The Song Decoders." This article documents the history of Pandora Radio and process used by the Music Genome Project to classify music.

Tip on using controlled vocabulary, from the Oberlin Conservatory Library

The Oberlin Conservatory Library posted a tip today on its blog, Guido's Hand, on how to use controlled vocabulary. It is worth reading! In our online catalog, controlled vocabulary terms are often hyperlinked, so that you can click on them and retrieve lists of items that use the same term.
