IPA Source

I am pleased to announce that the Music Library is now able to offer access to IPA Source, a database of English and foreign-language vocal texts, with International Phonetic Alphabet pronunciations and English translations, where applicable. It currently contains over 9,000 texts. Users can access IPA Source through the NIU Libraries local catalog, from the A-Z Databases list, or under the Core Databases tab on the Music Resources LibGuides Page. Users who are accessing this from off-campus will need to authenticate with their NIU network ID and password.

This resource will be helpful to voice students and members of choral ensembles, as well as any student of vocal or choral music, including majors in music education, music theory, and music history.
