Earl Wild Obituary
Allan Kozinn's obituary of pianist Earl Wild was published in the New York Times on January 23. Wild was 94.

Notable New Acquisitions
This week, the Music Library received the autobiography of Lang Lang, the 26 year-old pianist who recently performed at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics (Journey of a Thousand Miles: My Story [New York: Spiegel & Grau, 2008], call no. MUX ML417.L28 A3 2008).
Also, the Music Library added a set of teacher's editions and accompanying compact discs from the Silver Burdett Making Music (Glenview, Ill.: Pearson Scott Foresman) textbook series in grades K-8. These will be important resources for our music education students and faculty. They will be on permanent reserve in the Music Library under call nos. MUR M1994 .S559 2005 (the teacher's editions) and MUR CDisc. M1994 .S559 2005b (the compact disc sets).
