The Music Library is open during the Summer semester (June 16-August 10) on Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Congratulations, graduates!

The Music Library wishes all NIU graduates a happy Graduation Weekend! The Music Library will be open according to its interim schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 12 noon and from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. starting on Monday, May 12. This will continue until the Summer Semester begins on June 16. The Music Library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, May 10-11.

Spring Break Schedule

The Music Library wishes you a happy and safe Spring Break. The sign on the Music Library door erroneously posted that we would be closed during Spring Break, but this is not the case. That sign has been corrected. The Music Library will be open on a reduced schedule during Spring Break. We will operate according to the schedule below:

Saturday-Sunday, March 8-9: CLOSED

Monday-Friday, March 10-14: OPEN 8 a.m. to noon, CLOSED noon to 1 p.m., OPEN 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Saturday-Sunday, March 15-16: CLOSED

We will resume our regular Spring Semester schedule on Monday, March 17.

The Music Library opened yesterday for the Spring Semester. We will be open:

Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Saturday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Sunday from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.

We will be closed this coming Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (January 18-20) in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Interim Schedule

The Music Library is now operating on its interim schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. We will resume our Spring semester schedule on Monday, January 13. Have a safe and happy Holiday Season!

The Music Library welcomes all students back to NIU for the Fall semester! Today we resume our Fall semester schedule:

Interim Schedule

The Music Library begins its summer-fall interim schedule today. For the next two weeks, the Music Library will be open Monday-Friday from 8-12 and from 1-4:30. The fall schedule will begin on August 26.

Interim Schedule

The Music Library will be closed this weekend, as the Spring Semester is now finished.  The Library will open on Monday and will observe its interim schedule for the rest of May.  That schedule is:

Monday through Friday

8:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m.

Closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

1:00 p.m. through 4:30 p.m.

Music Library will open at 4 on Sunday, April 28

The Music Library will be closed from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. this coming Sunday, April 28, for a private reception. The Music Library will open at 4 and remain open until 10 p.m. The regular schedule will resume on Monday, April 29.

Spring Break Hours

The Music Library will observe reduced hours for the upcoming Spring Break.  The Library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8 for Spring Break.  The Library will be open Monday, March 11 through Friday, March 15, from 8 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.  The Library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, March 9-10 and March 16-17.  The Library will resume regular Spring Semester hours on Monday, March 18.

The Music Library welcomes back our students and faculty for the Spring Semester of 2013 at Northern Illinois University!  We will resume our regular semester hours on Monday, January 14.  These hours are:

The Music Library will close today, November 21, at 5:00 p.m. It will remain closed for the Thanksgiving break until Monday morning, November 26, when it will open at its regular time of 8:00 a.m. Regular hours will resume at that time.
